Summing up, is a good game for everyone who wants to play it, there isn't a limited age to enjoy it. The new character can be usefull in the future or in a co-op option like a classic SNES platform game. Is good to play this post-credit part of the game and it helps to understand the end of the game. I think the new expansion is like a prequel to the "Songs 2" just as a "canon filler" in a japanese animation. You can always play the past levels with the new items to pick up the things you had to left behind like notes and chests, and also to find the new mini-bosses inside the current level. It may look like just another indie game in the beginning but as you pass the levels the gameplay keep growing with new items, new weapons and new difficult bosses. The most positive parts about the game are the pixel art, the songs and the fluid gameplay. There are amazing mods created by the fans and a lovely community. Some old reviews shouldn't keep in this website because the game grew up a lot with new things, a DLC, now an english version and a new expansion to the story. "Songs for a Hero" is a great 2D platformer indie game that fits incredibly well in present days, the art behind it is what makes this game so amazing.
